Tips on Applying Full Lace Wigs
If you want to adorn or just try out full lace wigs, then chances are that you are thinking about specific styles and colors which will blend well with your image and how to apply them on your head. The good thing about lace wigs is that they come in a variety of styles and colors, so you can never run short of options when you want to buy and use them. For now, we'll just go through the process of applying the wigs.
You should start by clipping baby hair from the edges of the full lace wigs to prevent it from being bonded by the adhesive. This should be quite easy in subsequent application of the wigs.
Once you clip the hairs, you should cut lace surrounding the hair line of your full lace wig. If you are not very sure about this, you should leave a bit of lace about ½” so that you can easily attach you preferred bonding material. You can also prevent the air from fraying by applying or using spray fray block on the lace. However, you should use as little as possible to prevent drying and creating a white patch.
Skin and Hair Preparation
It is also important for you to wash thoroughly, condition, and dry your hair before applying the full lace wigs. Once your hair is dry, you should proceed and braid them in cornrows or hold them tightly above the head. Next, dip a cotton pad on pure alcohol and rub it on the perimeter of your hairline to clean oil on your skin.
You should also apply scalp protector on your skin to shield it from the effects of adhesive substance. It is advisable to do this if you intend to swim or do work outs with your hair on. Also, remember to put flesh tone wig caps and to align them with your natural hairline.
